Case Study - House 1881 Interior Photography in Hong Kong
Client: House 1881 hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong
Creative direction: House 1881 invited me to make a completely new set of interior photographs and food images as part of their recent rebranding project.
The direction for the interiors was to show the spaces in a literal, expansive manner that emphasizes space’s features. In the case of the hotel rooms, that translated to using lighting that demonstrates the hotel’s harbor-facing windows. Hong Kong is not a place where strong natural light is reliably present, so all the images were heavily lit but many of them in a manner that simulates evening sun streaming in through the windows.
